FAQ

1. How much time should I book for a standard house cleaning?

Once a quick walkthrough of your home has been completed, we will determine a suitable time block for cleaning on a rotational basis. Please note, first time cleanings do tend to take between 1 and 2 hours longer than a standard rotational cleaning.

2. What does a standard cleaning entail?

With some circumstantial differences, cleanings begin with bathrooms, then kitchen, dusting, and on to floors, always working from the top down. Fans, blinds, light fixtures, and baseboards may take additional time.

3. Do you provide the cleaning supplies?

Yes, we provide all supplies and materials needed for each visit.

4. What kind of products do you use?

Good Egg Cleaning is proud to work with an eco-, pet-, and child-safe product line, many of which are made in-house! Please see our Complete Product/Task List!

5. Will the same cleaners come each visit?

Currently, there is only one cleaner on staff, so yes. However, this is subject to change, with reasonable notice to all homeowners.

6. What should I do before Good Egg cleaners arrive?

To ensure maximum efficiency, we ask that you pick up any toys or clothes before your cleaner arrives. Please see our guide for How to Prepare for Your Cleaning for more details.

7. What do you not clean?

Goode Eggs do not clean the following:

  • Dishes

  • Laundry

  • Toys

  • Inside fireplace

8. What if something is damaged during a cleaning?

Good Egg Cleaning treats every home we clean with the utmost respect. If something happens to break during our routine service, we’ll do our best to repair or replace the item.

9. Do I need to be home for every cleaning?

No. Because we work on an 9am-6pm schedule, Monday to Friday, most of our clients aren’t home when we arrive. In these cases, our cleaning professionals are provided with a spare key or garage code.

10. How do I pay for my cleaning?

Payments are due on the day of your scheduled service. Most clients will leave a check or cash on the kitchen counter. Please make checks payable to Katie Carlson.
